a friend of mine, tim, was misfortunate enough to experience cancer. out of this tragedy, the music scene of rochester, ny came together and put on several benefit shows, one of which was rather large and incredibly beautiful.
at this gathering of many friends and musicians, local businesses donated their goods or services in a raffle.
Temperamental Studios (owned by mike brown) was gracious enough to donate a full two-day recording session to whomever.
i was fortunate enough to win that recording time, and thus was the birth of this album.

it was really quite perfect timing, because i was very much in need of getting some new music out (and a debut solo release).
i had just gone through a rather intense emotional and physical journey, which is at the core of this album's theme.
it is a collection of emotions, thoughts, feelings, memories, and self-advice.
